ACCA has done it again. Its much hyped e-commerce has not run smoothly.
ACCA has encouraged members to pay their their annual subscriptions through its internet site. Many members make payments with credit cards. Upon receiving their credit card statements, some members have found they have been charged twice for the subscriptions. Some 7-10 days later, a credit has appeared to cancel out the duplicate charge. The delay may have resulted in violation of the credit limits on credit cards and may have resulted in interest charges.
ACCA has not issued any press release to explain the fiasco. The concerned
members have not received any apology.
